Last day of school

The last day of school the kids had a breakfast picnic and played on the playground.

Happy 6th Birthday!

We had party pets come and entertain Madison's party. They brought about 30 different critters for the children to touch, hold, take pictures with and learn about. The owners have had over 30 years of experience as zoo keepers. The kids really enjoyed all the animals, reptiles and critters except the poor little hedgehog. Madison didn't appreciate him scaring her when she tried to touch him on his spiny back. His defense is to shake to scare off predators. Madison screamed and cried and probably scared the little critter more than he scared her. Other than that the show was a hit. After an hour of critter time we went outside for some batting practice. Now that was another story but this time with Matthew. I have never seen him have such a melt down when some of the candy came flying out. He demanded Madison to give him her candy and she wasn't giving it up. I finally had to remove him until he was calm enough to understand that he would get candy too (a big thanks to all the guests for putting some a side for Matthew). Madison's big day ended with a mini slumber party with two of her close friends.

Graduation performance

Kindergartin graduation and awards ceremony

First the children received their awards for the Reading Olympics in the library. Then we went into the auditorium and the children performed three very cute songs. After their performance they received diplomas and hugs from the teachers and principals.
