A White Christmas!

The little bakers

Our first white Christmas

and someone to pull you

My mom picked up these cute aprons from her favorite store, Tai Pan Trading Co. Wish we had one here.

It's Christmas Eve! We had a storm come through during the night and when we woke up this morning it appeared that it was starting to clear up. Even the sun was beginning to peak through. So it was a complete surprise when I looked out the kitchen window and noticed the rain was turning into snow. I was on the phone with Mario and said I think it's snowing, it is snowing. He was missing out so that got him off work and home faster than usual.

Oh Mac Donald had a song

Madison had her first piano recital on Sunday. The video was too long to email so you'll have to check it out here. Madison was so adorable and did very well after only three lessons.

I know its been a while since I've posted but I will get busy right after Christmas and you can get caught up with our last few months. Merry Christmas!

You may have to turn up your volume
and be sure to click off on my music so you can listen.

Texas State Fair

This year we couldn't pass up the paddle boats

We met up with our good friend Donna. She just moved here from Las Vegas.

We had a great time at the butterfly gardens

The kids had the best time on this zip line ride and it was free.

I thought Matthew would be a little afraid but look at that face. He laughed the entire time.

This little baby took the cup right out of Madison's hand and gobbled every bit. Mario was able to get the cup back thank goodness. We saw an ostrich grab someones cup and swallowed the entire thing.

The kids learned the process of farming.

First they collected peaches from their trees, milked cows, planted seeds, picked produce, gathered wool, fed corn to the animals, rode the tractors and earned a profit. Then they purchased a snack at the market.

We didn't get a chance to try the award winning fried peaches and cream this year but we did try the fried butter (yuk!!!). It was raw buttery dough on the inside. Mario ate the butter and I had the fried PB&B.

decorating fun

This cat has been around for years. Our kitty use to think it was real.

The kids were asking me every day to bring down the Halloween decorations so I finally gave in. We would put things out and Matthew would pick them right up and of course wanted to bring them all in the house to play with.

The big 4

I just love the new pull apart cupcakes! Not to fond of the black frosting.

This was a little cupcake on the day of his birthday. We took him to Joe's Crab Shack on Saturday.

First day, new friends, new teachers.

Matthew was ready and excited about school until we arrived. He then became so serious and I struggled to get a smile out of him.

Time for me to go!

Such an expert! This year she gets to eat lunch with all the big kids.

First day of First grade!

Madison lost her first tooth just one week before school started. During gymnastics of course.

The Drive to Northern Arizona

This little Tavern was recently aired on Food networks Throw down with Bobby Flay.

In July we took a trip to Arizona and decided to drive through Roswell. We went inside the museum but didn't have enough time to read much. So we just walked through quickly and took a couple of pictures. Later we arrived to a small town called San Antonio in New Mexico and stopped for dinner at the Buckhorn for their famous green chili cheeseburger.

Arizona's White Moutains

The view from our cabin

The drive was nice admiring the trees, lakes and cattle. Sometimes we would see cattle walking alongside the roads.

Mario took the kids on the ski lifts at Sunrise.

Interesting to see all the mountain bike riders on the trails.
