Soccer practice

First Soccer Practice

Last night was Madison's first practice. She had a great time and seems like a natural. Soon enough she will be learning how to use her feet when kicking and not using her hands. Her uniform is purple and black and she is number 2. Good thing those shorts come with draw strings or her pants would fall right down to her feet. There is six 5 yr olds on each team and three will play at a time with no goalie. Games will be every Saturday for about an hour. Madison has a really nice coach and all the parents were very friendly. One of the other parents was also from Upland Ca. Small world!

The Night Before...

We went to bed extra early so we all were ready for the big day. I think I was more nervous about her first day of Kindergarten.

ANOTHER STEP UP THE MILESTONES

Today was Madison's first day of Kindergarten. Oh the feeling of nervousness, excitement, fear and trying to hold back the tears from dripping on a new shirt. Then we all looked at Daddy and said "everything is going to be fine, don't worry" Just kidding!
Madison did great. We took some pictures and walked her to her classroom. The teacher gave her a name tag and showed her where she would sit every day. Madison was ready to start her day and so was Matthew. After Madison received her name tag, Matthew told Mrs. Johnson "it's my turn". We had to leave quite quickly since Matthew was handling it a bit hard. I went alone to pick Madison up from school and she seemed just like herself but a little quiet. She said they went to see the library with all the books, colored and played with play doe. Grandma called to see how her first day went and asked her if she went to the playground. Madison said no and teared up a little. We assured her that she would get to go to the playground soon.
